Welcome,
Let me tell you a bit about myself, the founder of this company. I am Diwakar
Sinha born on 24th of October 1980 in Adilabad, India. I have always been a
brilliant student but never a class topper. And I am proud of that because not
being a part of the rat race has given me time & opportunity to develop
other faculties of my potential. I got my education at St. Felix nursery, St. Vincent’s
High School, Nowrosjee Wadia College, Maharashtra Institute of Technology in
Pune, India and the Nyenrode Business University in The Netherlands. But most
of all I think I got my education at home. From my father instilling the basic
curiosity to find out how stuff works, why are things the way they are and how they can be done better. From my mother in understanding how to behave, keeping
calm under pressure, how to make things work with limited resources. From my
sister: art, creativity, a lot of geology and the basic interest in petroleum
engineering. From my dog - love, discipline and how not to spoil my KIDS when I
have them!!
My professionally significant life started in 2003 when I was in the 3rd year
of petroleum engineering. One morning while thinking over a problem discussed
in the previous days class, I combined a few very simple existing engineering
concepts into a new solution to the problem. Thus was born the concept of
"Cantilever drilling" never done before, using the combination
of techniques that I had used. I had invented a technology. This was the
turning point of my life because with it started a chain reaction of thought
and ideas & inspiration that has brought me to where I am today.
I presented that paper in the SPE MEDT 03, my network spread to companies like
Transocean, Askara, and Al-Mansoori.
Probably as a result of my new found popularity I got elected as the vice
president of the MIT SPE Student Chapter, my network spread to the alumni &
sponsoring companies of the AIIIP.
I developed a sequel to that paper with associated technology sets, that paper
was presented and discussed in the ONGC Petrotech & 2 more SPE conferences,
my network spread to Cairn, Reliance, Shell, Baker, Hughes Halliburton, British Gas and British Petroleum.
I went on to winning the Schlumberger Handshake program scholarship for the best project in 2004.
in 2005 I became the president of the MIT SPE student chapter; I strengthened my
network with the alumni & got more sponsoring companies for the AIIIP using
my personal network.
All this would not have been possible without the help and support of my
friends, teachers & family.
I got my BIG BREAK - a job with the big and almighty Shell International
Exploration and Production - on my own merit, not needing anyone's help, not
needing campus placement, in spite of taking 5 years to pass a 4 year
engineering course, in spite of not being amongst the top 3 in class I was
finally a someone not a 5 point someone.
I set myself a target to make Diwakar Sinha a Brand that is distinct,
recognizable and memorable.
After working for 2 years in Shell, I decided it was time to move on to a
bigger and better destiny. I joined the international MBA program at the
Nyenrode Business University, here I got plugged into the Nyenrode alumni
network, and I met like minded friends Niranjan & Kedar. Together we set up our
first enterprise that deals with recycling electronic waste called E-Clean India this project won the first prize in the Nyenrode
Entrepreneurship Forum.
However my most valuable gain from this entire experience so far are the friends that I have spent time with and cherish those moments. People who accept me as I am.
I am simultaneously working on the EPO
and UNMEworld
projects currently looking for like minded collaborators, investors that will be
resources for this new evolving network of intellectuals who want to make
themselves distinct, recognizable and memorable brands.
